Microwave Mug Pizza


Ingredients:

  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/16 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon marinara sauce
  • 1 tablespoon shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 5 mini pepperoni slices (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Mug: Choose a microwave-safe mug. It’s best to use a larger mug to prevent overflow.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt to the mug. Stir to combine.
  3. Add Wet Ingredients: Pour in the milk and olive oil. Stir until the batter is smooth and there are no lumps.
  4. Add Sauce and Toppings: Spoon the marinara sauce on top of the batter. Spread it out with the back of the spoon. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce. Add mini pepperoni slices and dried Italian herbs if using.
  5. Microwave: Microwave on high for about 1 minute and 30 seconds, or until the pizza is cooked through and the cheese is melted. Cooking times may vary depending on the microwave, so check and add additional time in 10-second intervals if needed.
  6. Cool and Serve: Let the mug pizza cool for a minute before eating, as it will be very hot. Enjoy your instant pizza!
